Reading and Leeds Festival has announced a host of new stages and layouts for what it says is “the biggest staging and arena overhaul in the festival’s 37-year history.

The multi-location festival, which takes place in Richfield Avenue, Reading, and Bramham Park, Leeds on 27-30 August, is bringing The Gallery, an immersive stage which will host Kneecap, Kettama and more to its weekender. They’ve also introduced The Ballroom, a debut stage for breaking acts, and The Canopy, which is designed to be a hub for new music across the Bank Holiday weekend.

As a Reading-only exclusive, the festival will bring The Yard to its field, which is an open-air stage with shipping containers that highlights alternative club culture. Leeds will see a return of the LS23 and Piccadilly Circus stages, with full line-ups set to be released later in the year.

In a shared headline set, Charli xcx, Fontaines D.C., Dave, Raye, Florence + The Machine and Chase & Status are topping the bill. They’re joined by Geese, Kneecap, Holly Humberstone, Skepta, Viagra Boys and more.

The previously announced Warehouse stage will act as the new Reading and Leeds space for dance music, hosting sets from Skepta b2b Prospa, Hybrid Minds, Hedex and more.
