The Midhurst Jazz, Food & Blues Festival (MJFBF) has named jazz icon Courtney Pine as headliner for its 2026 edition.

Taking place on 19-22 November at Midhurst, west Sussex, the four-day market town festival will welcome blues act The Cinelli Brothers, Errol Linton and Brit Funk Association.

The programme also features Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion, guitarist Jim Mullen, funk from Simon Bates Funk Explosion and more.

Adam Page, festival director, said: “Last year’s festival showed us just how much appetite there is for high-quality live music presented in a different way. The atmosphere across the town was incredible, and we’ve worked hard to make this year’s programme even stronger.

To have someone of Courtney Pine’s stature leading the line-up is hugely exciting. He’s one of the defining figures in British jazz, but what I love about this programme is its breadth. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz fan, love blues, soul and funk, or simply enjoy discovering great live music, there’s something here for everyone.”
