ArcTanGent (ATG) has closed its final edition in its current home of Fernhill Farm, near Bristol, where it has been held since its first outing in 2013.

For 2027, which takes place 18-21 August, the festival will be relocating to the Cotswolds at Todenham Manor Farm, near Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

In a live 2 Promoters, 1 Podcast conversation at the festival, ATG and Damnation organisers James Scarlett and Gavin McInally took to the stage on the Saturday morning to speak on some of the reasons behind the site move.

James suggested that the festival and landowner had reached something of a stalemate over future editions. “[The landowner] asked me if [2026] is this the last one. I said ‘yeah, we’ve got a new site now’. So it was kind of weird,” said James.

The ATG head also admitted there may be some teething problems with dragging and dropping an established festival to a new home. “We’re happy that we’re leaving but it’s tinged with sadness because there’s a lot of memories here,” he said. “And next year is going to be way more stressful than a normal year. Here it’s like, oh, isn’t it easy setting up this festival. It’s just not going to be like that at a new site.

James went on to say that the 2027 edition will be as close to a “copy and paste” main arena setup to its current form. “[To build ATG] all you need is a big flat field, and then you can do it. And we have got a big flat field, so that’s what we’re going to do,” he said.

Tickets for ArcTanGent 2027 are available now, with the full line-up to be announced in the future.
