Though it seems like the new year just began, this weekend marks the end of an era for Hermès menswear. The maison’s Men’s Winter 2026 show, featuring their final collection by Creative Director Véronique Nichanian, will take place on 25 January—bringing an end to one of the longest tenures in fashion history.

Nichanian spent a remarkable 37 years in the role, marking her as singular in an industry that often sees a revolving door of creative appointments. The French designer often eschewed trends and fads to draw on the maison’s style codes, creating, over decades, an image of the Hermès man that was timeless yet fresh. It was an approach that garnered her significant respect from peers and colleagues. “I have had total creative freedom for 37 years,” Nichanian shared with GQ last year. “That is rare. My friends in other houses envy it. But at Hermès, personalities thrive. Enthusiasm is contagious. And that’s the magic of this maison.”
Nichanian’s successor, Grace Wales Bonner, is expected to present her first collection for the maison in 2027, making her the first black woman to hold a creative director role at a major luxury house. But before Hermès officially turns the page to Wales Bonner’s vision, we get one final peek through the eyes of the woman who shaped the brand for three decades.
The Hermès Men’s Winter 2026 fashion show will take place on Sunday, 25 January, at 4:00 a.m. (Singapore time). Be among the first to see Nichanian’s final Hermès collection, live from Paris Fashion Week, via the livestream below.
