It’s been a year of firsts for Jonathan Anderson and Dior. Much ink has been spilled dissecting his vision for the maison: since being announced as Dior’s new Creative Director last June, the designer has already unveiled three collections, the most recent being his Winter 2026 Menswear showing that drew ire and adoration alike across the Internet. It’s tempting, then, to think that there are no surprises left concerning Jonathan Anderson’s Dior—but with his debut Paris Haute Couture Week showing just around the corner, the designer most likely has a few more tricks up his sleeve.

Haute couture holds special significance at Dior; it’s often where the maison showcases its famed savoir-faire and its most enduring and glamorous creations. It was in the 1959 Milieu du siècle haute couture line that iconic sister gowns Junon and Vénus were unveiled, for example. Junon, in particular, has been a mainstay for Dior creative directors looking to revisit and rework house codes, from John Galliano and Maria Grazia Chiuri to Anderson, who referenced the piece’s scalloped embroidery in his Spring/Summer 2026 women’s collection.

In an interview with i-d last September, Anderson offered an intriguing glimpse at what a haute couture collection might bring. “The couture will be completely abstract. It’ll be about trying to find newness within form,” he shared. “It might be about art, it might be about things that are experimental with volume. It might not be about the end sale. Couture will become the lab of the brand, trying to carve out newness.”

So what can we expect to see on the runway? Teasers have been sparse ahead of the show. The only glimpse of couture unveiled so far—a photograph of an airy white jersey dress taken by Japanese architect and artist Hiroshi Sugimoto—bears a striking resemblance to the opening look of Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear collection. Other teaser images showcase vibrant fields of lilac cyclamen flowers and a chunk of iron meteorite.

Consider our curiosity piqued—we don’t know exactly what we’ll be seeing, but we know it’s going to be big. Tune in at 10 pm (SGT) on Monday, 26 January to be among the first to catch a glimpse of Jonathan Anderson’s debut haute couture collection for Dior, live from Paris.
