
For her swansong, former Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri returned to her native Rome. Drawing inspiration from the city’s rich tapestry of art, fashion, and cinema, she staged an extravagant ball reminiscent of those once hosted by Italian aristocrat Mimi Pecci-Blunt.
Dior’s Cruise 2026 collection supplied the costumes for this reverie: floaty lace dresses, gowns embroidered with surreal trompe-l’oeil beading, and silhouettes carved from glimmering velvet. Take a peek behind the curtain and uncover the delicate fittings and behind-the-scenes moments.
