In Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Terminal, COS returned to New York Fashion Week with a Fall 2025 collection that proved restraint can be powerful. Front row attendees—including i-dle’s Shuhua, Korean actor Lee Junyoung, GRAZIA cover star Namtan Tipnaree, Thai sensation Zee Pruk Panich, actor Christopher Briney, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley—gathered for creative director Karin Gustafsson’s show, which balanced modern elegance with quiet strength.
The pieces were precise, considered, and unmistakably COS: minimalism with intention. The palette was soft yet purposeful—mocha, cocoa, thyme, muted greys, and flashes of burgundy. Silhouettes balanced structure with ease, from semi-sheer silk turtlenecks draped with built-in scarves to double-faced wool coats cinched at the waist.
Draped satin sets and caped silk softened the lineup, while utility-inspired tailoring and high-neck cocoon coats brought shape and definition. Subtle checks and textured ’90s coats added personality without overpowering the tonal story.

Signature pieces moved seamlessly between elegance and practicality. A draped dress flowed with ease, while tailored oxfords—crafted for both men and women—paired effortlessly with fluid shifts and cinched suits. Bodysuits, sheer panels, and understated cutoffs injected a playful edge, keeping the collection contemporary without slipping into gimmicky territory.

Standouts included a check-on-check bodysuit styled with coupe carotte pants, a sleeveless burgundy shift with side vents, and a cropped grey cocoon coat—pieces that captured COS’s quiet confidence. The finale look, a coat blazer and trousers styled with a skinny scarf, underscored the brand’s point of view: minimalism doesn’t have to mean muted.
Footwear grounded the collection in real life—suede sneakers, leather sock boots, and streamlined loafers reflected COS’s commitment to the modern, on-the-go wardrobe. Accessories stayed restrained, allowing cuts, textures, and draping to take centre stage. Bags—long a house signature—appeared as foldover clutches in checks, solid shades, and mixed fabrications, from supple leathers to tactile textiles.

The show unfolded beneath shifting light boxes that moved from warm glow to stark white, mirroring the duality at the heart of the collection: ease and precision, simplicity and impact. Its strength lay in lived-in sophistication—clothes that feel instantly wearable yet quietly aspirational, designed to move from bustling city streets to moments of reflection.
For Fall 2025, Gustafsson refined the brand’s core: timeless silhouettes balancing precision with fluidity, structure with ease, and restraint with personality—a modern celebration of understated luxury crafted for the way we live now.
