The Italian house pays tribute to its breezy and sophisticated Resort 2026 collection with a pop-up store experience designed to put you in a summer state of mind.
The collection’s Mediterranean charm certainly makes you dream of sunnier, more luxurious pastures, but the pop-up space’s cast of characters brings the fantasy to life. Never have inanimate objects looked so animated. One mannequin, clad in an impossibly chic silk halter top and raffia-knit hat, looked ready to strut out of the space and onto a plane to somewhere sunny. A Loro Piana couple, dressed in shades of vivid turquoise and crisp white, would undoubtedly be the most intriguing dinner companions on any vacation. And if you fancied a game of pickleball, you could pick up a set of wooden Loro Piana racquets—branded ball included—and try to engage the gentleman in the matching turquoise silk set as your partner.
The pieces are rooted in the sun-drenched ease of the Mediterranean, with touches of whimsy throughout—in shell-shaped enamel jewellery and a new snakeskin edition of the Extra Pocket bag. Loro Piana Icons like the Spagna and Traveller jackets undergo summer-ready makeovers, emerging in lighter and more streamlined linen forms.
As the undisputed master of fibres, though, Loro Piana’s true appeal lies in texture. These are clothes you need to see and feel to believe, and the considered pop-up space provides ample opportunity for discovery. The linens are light and crisp, somehow cooling even when worn as outerwear—the lighter Solaire linen lends itself to fluidly draped shirts and trousers, while the more structured Tropical iteration adds a sense of solidity to tailored jackets. The raffia-knit beanies and hats are surprisingly soft to the touch, with not a hint of the roughness suggested by their woven texture. The La Piscina print—exclusively found in the pop-up store—is the collection’s ultimate shape-shifter. The vibrant print features a serene poolside rendered in watercolour brush strokes, and takes on new life with every fabric and texture it touches, from a canvas Gioia shopper to a silken wrap skirt.
With this blend of vibrancy and minimalism, the Resort 2026 collection finds a natural home amongst the soft beige and warm coral tones of the pop-up space. For those who can’t quite zip off to the Amalfi Coast this summer, the next best thing is right here on Orchard Road.
