The Brighton city festival Mutations has announced the headliners for its eighth edition in electro-rock act Fat Dog and Mike D of the Beastie Boys.
Taking place from 23-24 October 2026, the festival will welcome more than 90 international breakthrough and established artists across its two day run. The festival says that more artists will be announced in the coming weeks, and that “the 2026 edition of Mutations Festival is promising to be the most ambitious and exciting edition yet.”
The Domino Records signed Fat Dog will present their forthcoming debut album ‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ at the festival, which is set to be released in October. Mike Diamond, aka Mike D of the Beastie Boys, will bring his solo 5D project to Mutations 40 years after the release of Licensed to Ill changed hip-hop forever in 1986. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will be performing his latest album ‘Thank You’, released via Capitol Records.
Mutations Festival takes over nine venues across Brighton and its grassroots venues such as Chalk, the club room Patterns and Revenge, while the likes of CMAT, Yard Act, English Teacher and KNEECAP played some of their first shows at the winter weekender.
